Essential Binder - Short

Inspired by our beloved Original Classic Binder (discontinued), this binder is designed to help you feel at home in your body while giving you maximum shaping when you’re out and about. Made from the same single-layer 100% cotton as the Original Classic, this binder now offers an improved fit at the neckline, armholes, and underbust.

For best results and garment longevity, we recommend alternating between the Essential Binder and the Essential Comfort Binder. Use the Essential Binder for moments when you want a polished, streamlined shape, and switch to the Essential Comfort Binder for situations where moderate support and wearability are preferred.

• Gentle washing is best: Hand washing in cold water helps maintain elasticity. Cold machine washing is perfectly fine as well. Avoid using hot water and tumble drying as it can break down the stretch and shorten the lifespan of your binder. Do not bleach or iron, and wash with like colours.
• Rotation increases durability: If you only own one binder and wear it daily, it will naturally wear out faster than one that is part of a rotation. Treated like any undergarment, proper care extends performance and comfort.
• Expect natural stretch over time: With regular wear and washing, the fabric will gradually relax. When cared for correctly, a binder usually lasts about a year depending on frequency of use.

• Listen to your body: Binders should not be worn for longer than eight hours in a day. They can boost confidence, but the body still needs time to rest. If you feel soreness, shortness of breath or discomfort, take a break. You should be able to breath and move comfortably.
• Be binder-active with care: You can swim or exercise while wearing a binder, if you monitor your comfort. Rinse well after salt or chlorine exposure and allow it to dry out of direct sunlight. For movement activities like gym or yoga, sizing up may improve mobility
• Should you experience any chest pain or shortness of breath, remove your binder immediately.
• Binders may not completely flatten larger chests. When choosing your size and style, consider the shape and level of compression that works best for your body.
• Avoid sleeping in a binder: The body relaxes during rest and needs space to recover. Removing your binder is essential for safe wear.
